Julie Alosi
College of Medicine Class of 2005
The Future of Medicine Depends on Scholarship Gifts
Second-year medical student Julie Alosi is a whirlwind of activity—engaged in her studies, deeply committed to the community around her. On one recent morning she could be found in the Dana Library studying for her medical boards, then spending the afternoon helping organize an auction to benefit a local teen pregnancy center. It’s not an unusual mix—College of Medicine students are known for their wide-ranging activity and achievement.
And it’s not unusual that Julie credits those who have gone before her for helping her. “I have benefited greatly, both as an undergrad and now as a medical student, from the generous donations of alumni. I won’t be surprised if I choose primary care as my specialty, and the scholarship support I’ve received from alumni will give me the freedom to make that choice.”
Contributions to both the College’s 21st Century Fund and the Medical Alumni Association Challenge program help every student who receives aid. Your contribution can have a lasting, positive effect on the next generation of physicians.
Please give to the Annual Fund today or contact the Medical Development and Alumni Relations office for more information on scholarship possibilities.
