UVM Parents Council

Our Mission:

The University of Vermont Parents Council, established in 2000, is an advisory group of parents that fosters communication between the University administration and current UVM parents, students, and families.  The Council is comprised of parents of current UVM students and recent graduates who serve as well-informed ambassadors for the University.  Members of the Council are appointed by the UVM Development and Alumni Relations Office and represent the four undergraduate classes and reflect the geographic distribution of the undergraduate student body.  The Parents Council serves as advocates for parents and students by providing recommendations and advice to the UVM Administration in a continuous and proactive effort to ensure the highest possible educational standards and valuable student life experience for all UVM students.  The Parents Council directs the UVM Parents and Families Association and promotes parent involvement in Admissions programs, Career Connections programs, and fundraising programs through the UVM Parents Fund for the University.
