Alumni Awards
Each year, alumni are awarded honors in one of four categories, and are recognized for their significant contribution to the UVM community during Reunion weekend. Since 1958, awarded to dynamic and purposeful volunteer leaders whose loyal, unselfish, and consistent service to the University of Vermont and the Alumni Association Board of Directors has enhanced the reputation and furthered the mission of the University.
Alumni Achievement AwardSince 1985, awarded to alumni for outstanding achievement that has been recognized at the local, state, and/or national level.
Outstanding Young Alumni AwardSince 1979, awarded to alumni who graduated within the past ten years and are dynamic volunteers who have given dedicated personal service to the University of Vermont and the Alumni Association Board of Directors and are committed to furthering the mission of the University.
George V. Kidder Outstanding Faculty Award
Since 1974, awarded to one full-time faculty member, who has served in that capacity at the University for five (5) years or more, to honor excellence in teaching as demonstrated by effectiveness in motivating students in ways that have a lasting influence on their lives, commitment to student advising, and the ability to provoke student interest and enthusiasm and constructively influence campus life beyond the classroom.
