2007 Young Alumni Award Winners

Kristina Pisanelli ‘97
SERVICE: Kristina Pisanelli has been a loyal and active member of the UVM community as both student and alumna. As an undergraduate, she was a member of Mortar Board, TOWERR, and Golden Key, and served as vice president of her class. While a student, she took a semester off to run Vermont Governor Howard Dean’s reelection campaign. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from UVM with a degree in political science in 1997 and earned her JD degree from Georgetown University in 2005. Since leaving UVM, Kristina has worked in the Office of the Governor in Montpelier, Vermont, and in U.S. Senator Patrick Leahy’s office in Washington, D.C. Krissy’s legal career has been with the Washington, D.C., law firms LeBoeuf, Lamb, Green, and MacRae, LLP, and Patton Boggs, LLP. She currently works for Pillsbury, Winthrop, Shaw, Pittman, LLP. Still an active member of the UVM community, Kristina has been Young Alumni Committee chair; a member of the Washington, D.C., Regional Board; vice president of the class of 1997; and coordinator of the UVM community service project in Washington, D.C. She also participated in a training video that will be used to prepare alumni volunteer fundraisers for their calls. Krissy will be celebrating her 10th Reunion at UVM this year and is co-chair of the 10th Reunion Committee.

Adam Wolk ‘02
SERVICE: Adam Wolk has been a dedicated and engaged member of the UVM community both as a student and as an alumnus. While on campus, he was a member of the Boulder Society and Pi Kappa Alpha, served as an orientation leader and Senior Class Council vice president, and was selected as a member of Order of Omega. Graduating with a degree in economics, Adam received the Class of ’67 Award given to the senior who best exhibits leadership, academic competence, and character and has earned the respect of faculty and fellow students. As an alumnus, Adam continues to be actively involved with UVM. Since 2002, he has been a member of the Young Alumni Committee, raising funds for UVM from among those who graduated up to ten years ago. In 2003 and 2004, he served on the New York Events Committee. Adam has attended numerous UVM events in New York and Massachusetts as well as Homecoming on campus. He serves as co-chair of his 5th reunion this spring and is currently a student at the University of Virginia School of Law.
