2003 George V. Kidder Outstanding Faculty Award
Professor Robert Lawson has been a member of the faculty in the department of psychology at UVM since 1966. For more than 30 years, his passion for psychology has helped to instill in his students the same king of passion for exploring and understanding the subject matter. Professor Lawson has been described by numerous students as both caring and inspirational. He has also motivated and inspired the numerous students who have taken his classes to do their very best by making learning both interesting and fun. Within his classroom, he creates a positive, creative learning environment in which students listen to each other and share ideas. One student wrote, "Being in his classroom has changed the way I think. I have learned a lot from this man."
