Who are the Chatty Cats?
We are UVM students showing our school pride by sharing the news of the University with alumni, parents, and friends while giving them the opportunity to support this great institution As Chatty Cats we are a part of the UVM Development and Alumni Relations team located in the Grasse Mount Building.
Did you know?
UVM receives under 10% of its budget from the State of Vermont. While this support is terrific, it requires the University to rely heavily on other sources of revenue to support our operations. With the addition of funds received from tuition, grants, and private gifts, UVM is able to offer a high quality education with distinguished faculty and a student experience that is anchored by a beautiful campus and the City of Burlington.
In addition, the Chatty Cats raise funds for scholarships and financial aid that make attending UVM possible for many students. Whether it's enjoying a musical performance on campus, or by cheering on the Catamounts at a game, the impact of private support is a vital part of the UVM experience.
Do you have what it takes?
You don't need any prior work experience to become a Chatty Cat, but you do need a love of UVM and a desire to share that enthusiasm with others. Stop in and see what all the talk is about and find out how to join our team.
