2007 Catamounts Care National Community Service Projects
Projects are underway in several cities across the country! Alumni, parents and friends in the Philadelphia area teamed up with the Young Friends of the Brandywine Conservancy on April 21 to help remove debris along the banks of the Brandywine River. The cleanup focused on a seven-mile stretch of riverbank between the Lenape Bridge in Pennsylvania and the Smith Bridge in Delaware. New York-area Catamounts will work with the Central Park Conservancy to clean up Central Park in NYC on April 28. That same day, Boston-area Catamounts will take part in two projects - one at the Pine Street Inn and another at Citizen Schools. Burlington-area alumni, parents and friends will once again meet on the UVM Green to take part in Green Up Day. Alumni in the DC-area will gather on May 12 to help sort food at the Capital Area Food Bank. And Catamounts in and around Los Angeles get together on May 19 for the "Nothing but Sand" clean up of Venice Beach Pier at Washington Boulevard.
Participating in Catamounts Care is a great way to connect and reconnect with others in the UVM family while making the places we live a little bit better!
