As members of the Senior Class Council, one of our main focuses is fundraising for the annual Senior Class Gift, a longstanding tradition at UVM.  Physical gifts are a wonderful way to leave a lasting and tangible legacy on campus.  They can also be problematic, however, since space on campus is at a premium and funds must be raised to maintain the gift over many years.  Because of this, we have decided to look at ways to leave our legacy in the Dudley H. Davis Center, as the Class of 2006 has done before us.  Set to open in Fall 2007, this center will be the main hub of student and campus life at UVM. 

Members of the Class of 2007 have decided to raise funds for an aquarium that will be featured prominently in the Davis Center, along with a plaque signifying our gift.  This aquarium and the donor plaque will be a timeless reminder of the Class of 2007 and our significance as a part of the UVM community, and will afford us an opportunity to leave behind a gift that has an educational and environmental component.  Funds raised will go towards the installation of the aquarium and plaque, as well as upkeep on the aquarium over time.
